Nimes is only a 30 minute train ride from Montpellier. This is where denim was invented, hence the name denim. The city also has some amazing Roman ruins as it was once a very important Roman colony.
This is essentially a mini Colosseum, although it's not that mini!
The city is beautiful.
It also has beautiful desserts!
Pay close attention to the dead tree, maybe flip your computer upside down.
The best view of the city is from the hill with the Roman tower. You can climb up the tower and get a spectacular view.
I will miss southern France :(
